Six years have passed since a small band of apocalypse survivors found themselves entombed in a disused railway tunnel. The group explored, adapted and established itself. As a self-sufficient community within a Scottish mountain, they were producing a new generation.
From high up on the mountain, there were sightings of somebody or something down below. The movements had been near the loch at the edge of the nearby forest.
Could it be Patsy Mayne, the murderess who escaped from her temporary incarceration six years earlier, pre-empting banishment from the community? If it were a person or more than one who had survived any residual radiation did this signal new threats to the community inside the mountain?
Once again, Bill Kane steps forward to investigate the unknown.
