It’s been a year since I updated here, but like everyone else, I’ve had to contend with the ups and downs of everyday life, and this year had more than most. Apart from issues away from writing, I’ve done a lot of reading and beta-reading for other authors.

My main writing efforts have centred around MacLennan, and having just completed a full hard copy edit, I’m confident that after a few more editing visits and beta reading, it will be published late in March. After a sluggish start, the story developed well, and apart from pulling in characters from my Beyond The Law ‘world’, a new female vigilante has come to the fore. Helen – Codename: Larkspur will become the next young woman to step into the arena of organised crime. I aim to get her story underway later this year, and allow it to simmer on the back-burner as I work on other projects.

Apart from MacLennan, I’m also continuing to work on Selena: Sea Nymph, and A Life of Choice: The Retail Years. The stories, as you would expect, are all quite different, which means when I become involved with a particular tale, I lose myself in it to the exclusion of all else. This is what causes long periods with no news, like the one just passed, for which I apologise. I acknowledge that it might be frustrating for the reader, but it’s the method I’ve found that allows me to focus and produce better work.

Even after the publication of so many titles, I tend to lose track of time when I’m absorbed in a story for days and weeks at a time, so I can only hope my efforts have created a tale that you, my readers, will enjoy. If you’d like to learn more about my writing and methods, I tend to go into more detail in my writing blog at www.tombensoncreative.com so please feel free to visit.

I sincerely thank you for choosing and supporting my brand. If you’re new to my writing, I hope you’ll soon become one of my valued readers.
